“It wasn’t scary…it was fun!”
This is what one of the not-yet-believing husbands told me at the end of the evening last Friday. He was smiling and really enjoyed the night. This was great to hear because his wife wasn’t sure he would turn up for the ‘What is Love, Actually?’ event!
“What is Love, Actually?” is a fun evening for couples to look at the subject of love. The event is hosted by a church or community group and is particularly suitable for pub and club venues as an outreach and informal “taster” of what we do.
Many other couples were very positive about the evening. It’s such a good event as it includes film clips and fun and contrasts worldly ideas about love with the biblical picture. We also share The Five Love Languages and plenty of personal stories and testimony. At the end of the evening in Chesham Bois we encouraged people to come to A Day Together (ADT) which is planned for November.
Another not-yet-believing husband was very enthusiastic and said he was interested in coming to ADT and inviting some of his friends too. You should have seen the surprised look on his wife’s face! Another couple told us they had put the date for ADT in their diaries and were going to invite friends as well. All this was music to our ears!
